After a sore elbow limited the right-hander in 2005, the Indians were careful with Miller last year, leaving him in Double-A for pretty much the entire year. He recovered some of the velocity that helped turn him into one of the game's elite prospects in 2004, often working in the mid-90s. His outstanding slider never left him, and he continued to make progress with the changeup he was taught two years prior, allowing him to hold left-handers to a .198 average. If his arm holds up, Miller should be ready to contribute by the second half of the season. On an Indians team with five reliable starters and Fausto Carmona waiting in the wings, he'll have to catch a break to get his chance this year. However, he could be Cleveland's No. 2 starter as soon as 2008.- rotoworld
Fastball: Miller has a filthy mid-90s fastball. The Indians were worried when he lost some velocity due to soreness but now he is back to full strength. His fastball sits 93-96 with some decent movement on it. When hes on he can spot it very well.
Slider: His slider is his outpitch. Its just filthy. His slider sits about 84 MPH and has nice last break. Look for this to be the pitch that could give him major success in the bigs.
Changeup: Miller's changeup is still developing. Although he used it verse mostly lefties last year and it was a very good pitch for him as he held lefties to a 198 BA. If he can continue to develop this path his changeup is on he may have 3 plus pitches in the near fututre.
Projection: Miller should be a solid 2 or maybe even a good 1 if everything comes together for him. Look for him to maybe get his feet wet next year and be in there rotation by 2008.
