Brewers agreed to terms with outfielder Bill Hall on a four-year, $24 million contract with a club option for 2011.
The Brewers buy out Hall's first year of free agency with the deal. He gets a $500,000 signing bonus, $3 million this year, $4.8 million in 2008, $6.8 million in 2009 and $8.4 million in 2010. The 2011 option, covering his second year of free agency, is worth $9.25 million and includes a $500,000 buyout. The 27-year-old Hall is expected to move to center field this year after spending most of last season at shortstop. ~Rotoworld
Hall put up these numbers last year:
.270 35 homeruns 85 rbi
It was clearly Halls best power hitting year but he saw his average drop .21 points from 2005. We don't know what to expect in terms of halls defense playing CF atleast he wont be the only 2B man playing CF in the division (soriano)
Hall and soriano are kind of alike. Both hit alot of homeruns but dont produce alot of rbi's. The only diffrence is Soriano can run.
The 6 mil a year deal is fine. If he was a FA, he could of been looking at 10 mil in this market.
